My name is Richard Cotman. I recently completed my Master of Business Administration as a Joint Degree at the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Montpellier and the University of Birmingham. I’ve worked in Marketing for B2B software, including as Marketing Manager EMEA for Orion Health. Currently based in France, I’ve previously lived and worked in both New Zealand and the UK.
In my non-business life, I’m a musician, an enthusiatic intermediate skier and a keen walker/hiker. I’m also a blogger, and my non-professional blog is online at www.etnobofin.com. My BA(Hons) is from the University of Auckland in French and Anthropology. I gained 1st class honours in French, which included a research dissertation focusing on the colonial history of New Caledonia, entitled “La rencontre avec l’éxotique dans l’écriture des communards déportés en Nouvelle-Calédonie, 1871-1880“.

Je m’appelle Richard Cotman. Mon MBA au SupdeCo Montpellier était un programme bilingue (Anglais/Français), et j’ai passé mon premier semestre à l’Université de Birmingham. Avant mon MBA, je travaillais pendant 7 ans et demi pour un éditeur de logiciels B2B, y compris 2 ans et demi au siège européen d’Orion Health comme Marketing Manager EMEA.

Diplomé en littératures françaises et l’anthropologie à l’Université d’Auckland, j’ai rédigé ma thèse de dernière année sur une épisode dans l’histoire coloniale de la Nouvelle-Calédonie. Elle s’intitulait “La rencontre avec l’éxotique dans l’écriture des communards déportés en Nouvelle-Calédonie, 1871-1880“.
