Tone Matrix
My blog is currently subtitled “A kiwi in Paris, sweating on the metro“, and this week I have fully lived up to this moniker. In celebration of the official heatwave in Paris, and faced with news it’s only going to get hotter, here’s a “really-can’t-be-arsed-writing-anything” post.
Have a play with this tone matrix (you’ll work it out), and think of all of us in Western Europe who are perspiring into the night.

Cor, that’s lovely. I feel like a wasted afternoon of tone matrix coming on.
I’m so relaxed – thanks!
I loooove this tone matrix… Très “décérébrant”… Makes me think of a line from a movie : “The pain itself is a white ball of healing light… I don’t think so !”
From… ?
Yann
Sorry Yann, I don’t know which movie…
It’s from “Fight Club”.
I’ve only seen it once and I’m not sure I fully understood it. It’s one of those very ambiguous films like Natural Born Killers that caused a lot of controversy because of their apparent glorification of violence.
Anyways, what I probably like best about the film is its soundtrack (although I’m usually not too much into electronic music) and especially the song “This is your Life” by the Dust Brothers which centers around the speech given by Brad Pitt to newcomers to the club denouncing consumer society (yeah I know it’s better to consume than to derive pleasure by kicking someone in the face, still…).
My favourite line : “Deliver me from Swedish furniture !”
Here’s the link to the song on Jiwa : http://www.jiwa.fr/track/The-Dust-Brothers-11412/Fight-Club-21223/This-Is-Your-Life-60594.html
